i have been on this site before under a different name that i forgot but i need help i feel like i am about to break i cant sleep i dont want to eat i am having terrible night mares when i happen to fell asleep due to pure exhaustion.... my abortion was a year ago in march but my baby would now be one year old... i dont know what to do i have been in a group study called her choice to heal and i thought it was helping but i dont know what to do anymore ....... i dont want to do anything anymore...... does anyone have any suggestions... so far my only thought was to check my self in to someplace like two rivers because i am about to break....... sarah

My heart and my prayers are with you right now Sarah. I went through a period of intense anxiety as I grieved for my child too. Let the tears come, pray to the Lord and listen for His response of love. If you need help, by all means seek it - if you're like me its tough to ask for help, but it can be the best thing. Check out the Resources tab on this site, there are some good suggestions there. You can get through this! ((((Sarah)))) Amy

PS - Even your regular doctor might be a good place to start. That's where I started when I was so wound up.... Amy

First of all (((((sarah))))) I, and so many others, have been where you are now. I would encourage you to look thru the symptoms of PAS (post-abortion stress) listed here on the site, sounds like that is what you are going thru. To me it was encouraging just to know that what I was going thru was real (reading the symptoms on a sheet of paper allowed me to know that I was not the only one who had experienced this). I went thru full-blown PAS and here I am 15+ years later, on the other side and healed. I would encourage you to contact the leader of your group to let her know what is going on. She knows you better than what little we can glean from a message board, but if you feel you need professional help, please do seek it. John 14:27 NIV Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.
