   Welcome to Safe Haven. My parents made me have an abortion when I was 16(1978). Whenever I wanted to talk to her about what it did to my life, she did not want to hear it. My father is deceased and I know he faced judgement by God. I told my children about it so they would know that I was wrong for doing it. I was always lied to while I was growing up. I vowed to God that I would not lie to my kids about anything. After my brother's death in 1991 and then my Dad in 1992, I went in search for answers to all my thought about they way I felt. Many of the symptoms of post abortion syndrome listed on this site, I had many of them.  I finally got the right type of treatment for bipolar disorder that I believe was caused by repressing the thoughts since 1978 of the experience.

Maybe someday you can talk to them about it and maybe you don't want her to know is okay also. Find a local pregnancy crisis center for a bible study on post abortion to help you deal with the thoughts you have, I was relieved that I was not alone in my struggle to forgive myself and the one's that were involved  in the death of my first child.  Forgive yourself. Chat with the Ladies here on the site, we have made the journey of recovery. Please don't supress this it can and will cause conflict in your life.


My thoughts and prayers are with you. One of my favorite answers to my struggles is Ephesians 6:12, I found this a few years ago and I have been hooked in the armor of God. I fight with the spirit and demons of Abortion daily, God has already won the victory for us. This may sound of the wall, but I have enjoyed fighting with them in Spiritual Warfare, I win daily, for I have not taken my life. Knowing that I know what I am fight for Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness, something the Devil doesn't want me to achieve, Victory.
